I brought my new kitten in with gut issues (diarrhea) right after I got her. They prescribed her probiotics and I made the mistake of trusting what they had given to me and feeding it to my kitten. When I called them over a week later because she had started pooping blood and took a sharp decline, I asked "I noticed there is a DOG on the box of CAT probiotics you gave me. That doesn't feel right, I mentioned it when you first gave it to me and you said it was the right medication, but this really doesn't feel right". Turns out, yes, they had given me DOG MEDICATION FOR MY CAT. This was a while ago, but my cat was close to death because of them, and they charged me well over $1,000 for this whole experience with nothing in return but a sicker cat and a verbal apology. They permanently damaged her digestive tract. She has lifelong issues from this. Take serious caution going here and DO NOT TRUST THEM, triple check all advice and medication they give you. *edit* prescribing a 2lb kitten the same amount of probiotics you would give a 100lb dog is what caused her issues, this has been the opinion of 2 seperate veterinarians. By saying that wasn't the problem only further hurts your integrity. The other vets I have brought her to have all had the same reaction: jaw dropped and appalled at the mishandling of prescription medication.

Wow, what a great experience at Stowe Vet! We brought in both our senior pets shortly after moving here from NJ. Dr Ryan Flannery was kind, caring, and incredibly informative. Our kitty has some issues and our normally sweet dog is an anxiety ridden mess who turns into a devil at the vet’s office. Dr Ryan and his assistants were so patient and kind and figured out the right way to handle the situation. Thank you thank you thank you for being the best veterinary practice we’ve ever had in many many years of having furry family members.
